Overview

Set the foundations for your communication, with a messaging framework to define what you want to say and a rhythm to build visibility

As a communications consultancy offering strategic advice, we hear some common problems from clients. Any of these sound familiar?

  • We have too much to say - our comms are chaotic!
  • We're in a highly competitive tech/scientific environment - we can't say anything at all, but know we still need to make a noise somehow
  • We do know what to say - but don't know which channels to use anymore!
  • Our messaging has become muddled, so we're saying one thing internally, another on social media, and something else to stakeholders and customers in person

This workshop is designed to give your messaging structure so that it becomes consistent across every touchpoint, and you build visibility for yourself and your organisation.

You’ll come away having reset the foundations for your communications - all in a clear grid format that is easy to understand, visualise and implement.

Collaborative and interactive, and full of activities to draw out new perspectives, these workshops will help get your story straight, giving clarity to your message and making it easy to amplify.

  • Define your communication style and strengths, and map this against your audience and what engages and excites them
  • Build a messaging framework to act as a foundation for all your marketing activity, stating what people should think, feel, do, and see
  • Define your content pillars, the core themes you'll return to again and again in your marketing activity
  • Set visibility rhythm to achieve your objectives, based on your time, resources

Meet the host

Sue Keogh is a recognised specialist in brand storytelling, marketing and communications. She spent 10 years with broadcast media giants (BBC, ITV, Bauer) and at large internet portals (Yahoo, AOL, GOV.UK), before founding communications consultancy Sookio in 2008.

She’s led a multitude of high-impact multichannel campaigns in education, healthcare and the public sector, with clients including the University of Cambridge, the NHS, and local government.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, she speaks at events, hosts the Communication Untangled podcast, and has trained 1000s of people in marketing.

This workshop has been created following the popularity of Sue's Chamber of Commerce Building Visibility workshop on 13 May. Depending on numbers and attendees, it could be held in person or online - let us know your preference!
