Bumblebee Survey - Bexley

Bumblebee Survey - Bexley

Overview

Join us in exploring three new sites in Bexley for the B.E.E. Project - Waring Park, Foots Cray Meadows and Sidcup Community Garden

Please be aware that there are no public transport links between the sites and the distance between each is approximately 1 mile (20 minute walk).

We will meet for a 10.30am start at Waring Park near the Sidcup Arts & Adult Education Centre (what3words ///closed.shells.venues). The nearest rail station is Sidcup (5 minute walk). There are also public car parks at the station and at Old Farm Avenue. After we have explored Waring Park, we will head to Foots Cray Meadows.

It is a 20 minute walk to Foots Cray Meadows from Waring Park. We will meet at the Foots Cray Meadows Information Centre (///proud.vision.diner). There is an on site car park (///areas.nature.cooks).

The next site is Sidcup Community Garden - we will be surveying the Walled Garden (meet at ///flight.trio.usage). There is a pay and display car park at this site near the Star at Sidcup Place pub.

We will be breaking for lunch at approximately 12 noon, please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water. The event should end at about 3.30pm-4pm.

There are several buses running from Queen Mary's Hospital Stop HJ or The Green Stop X (both within a 5 minute walk of the Sidcup Community Garden) to Sidcup Station.

Please wear comfortable footwear and bring sun protection. We will organise car shares between sites if possible.
