<p>This event is FREE - but capacity is limited to 50.</p><p>Burd Ellen will be returning to Whitby for the first time since 2019 to take up a micro-residency at Whitby’s Unitarian Church. In response to the theme “Living On The Edge Of The World”, the duo will spend one day, Saturday 16th March, developing and recording a new piece of music about the intertidal zone. This work will explore some of the faerie lore and myths of the Gaelic Otherworld associated with this edgeland, using the song Caoidh An Eich-Uisge (Keen Of The Water Horse) as its starting point, and feature a co-created film with Violet .. and Dom … Burd Ellen will be running an open studio all day so you can drop by and see how it all comes together. In the evening there will be a presentation of the new work and a Burd Ellen gig</p>
