Business Resilience and the Year Ahead
An informal and social evening that combines high-quality economic insight with the opportunity to connect, relax and exchange views.
As LBV enters its 25th year, we invite members, guests and and senior business leaders to an informal and social evening that combines high-quality economic insight with the opportunity to connect, relax and exchange views.
At LBV's Business Resilience in the Year Ahead event on 26 January 2026, we will bringing together senior leaders from NatWest and Barclays, alongside Professor Eric Pentecost of Loughborough University Business School, a former Bank of England economist, for a lively and accessible discussion on the economic forces shaping business decisions in 2025 and beyond.
The conversation will explore what current global economic signals really mean for UK and regional businesses, how financial contagion spreads through markets and into the real economy, and what managers and directors should be stress-testing as the next business cycle unfolds.
The evening will include a panel discussion and interactive question and answer session with:
- Steve Grubb, Director Commercial Banking, Leicestershire, Rutland & Northamptonshire at NatWest
- Professor Eric Penetecost, Loughborough University
There will be time to mix and mingle with fellow business leaders, LBV members and partners in a relaxed and informal setting. This event is as much about relationships and shared perspective as it is about economics. It offers the chance to enjoy good conversation, make new connections and reflect on LBV’s role as it looks ahead to its next chapter.
We look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions about the event, please contact voice@lbv.co.uk
