About this event

Join us at the USW Engagement Hub – Business Support Clinics, a collaborative initiative developed in response to feedback from the local business community.

In partnership with USW Exchange, Business Wales, Development Bank of Wales, and Newport City Council, this series forms part of a wider collaborative programme to deliver meaningful support for businesses in the Newport region.

Whether you're starting up, scaling your business, or simply looking for expert advice, these sessions offer valuable face-to-face time with regional support providers – all in one place.

Times:

  • Business Clinic Appointments: 10:00 – 13:00 (Bookable 30-minute sessions)
  • Open Student Drop-in: 13:30 – 15:30 (No appointment needed – ideal for those attending Creative Freelancer workshops)

Book a dedicated 30-minute session with one of our expert partners to receive personalised guidance on:

  • Funding and finance
  • Business growth and start-up strategy
  • Grants, premises and local regulation
  • Support available through USW Exchange

Students are invited to stop by without an appointment to access support, ask questions, and explore how the services can help with freelance, enterprise, or future business plans. This session is especially relevant for those attending the Creative Freelancer workshops on the same day.
