This session

Will present operational insights from our live BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone missions using Visual Mitigation (VM), focused on long construction corridors supporting Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). These include major offshore windfarm projects such as EA1, EA3, NOWZ, Morgan, and Caledonia. I’ll share how we’ve built and deployed a scalable BVLOS VM framework to enable safe and effective corridor operations, and how this work is informing our preparations for participation in the CAA’s Temporary Reserved Airspace (TRA) Sandbox. The session will be a solo presentation followed by Q&A, aimed at operators, regulators, and infrastructure stakeholders interested in real-world BVLOS deployment.

Discover how

BVLOS VM is unlocking drone operations along long construction corridors for Critical National Infrastructure, including offshore wind projects like EA1, EA3, NOWZ, Morgan, and Caledonia. This session shares lessons from live deployments and outlines how these operations are shaping our engagement with the CAA TRA Sandbox. Attendees will gain practical insights into corridor planning, operational safety, and regulatory alignment—ideal for anyone working in drone operations, energy infrastructure, or airspace integration.

Learning points:

1. How BVLOS VM enables safe drone operations along long construction corridors.2. Operational lessons from supporting Critical National Infrastructure projects.3. Preparing for regulatory engagement through the CAA TRA Sandbox.
