Free Bystander Intervention Training

About this event

Our FREE bystander training aims to help services, businesses and the public in Sussex to #DotheRightThing by feeling more confident in recognising and challenging misogynistic behaviour in their everyday lives.

The 90 minute session will enable participants to:

1) Recognise sexual harassment and misogynistic behaviour and understand how it contributes to unsafe public spaces for certain groups of people.

2) Understand the impact of sexual harassment and misogynistic behaviour.

3) Learn and practise tools and techniques to challenge this behaviour in a safe way.

Please note that this is an education and training session. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual harassment or sexual violence and needs support, you can make a self-referral via our website, or contact our helpline. All details are here: Survivors' Network Website

Course content references sexual violence and trauma which may be distressing or triggering for some people. Although we aim to ensure that all participants are fully supported throughout the session, please be mindful of this when signing up. We encourage individuals to ensure the course is suitable for them before signing up. If you are impacted by any of the content in the session, you can call our helpline on 01273 720 110 or Samaritans on 116 123.
