IBM, ארגון David Clark Cause בשיתוף עם נציב זכויות האדם של האו"ם וקרן לינוקס, הכריזו על פתיחת תחרות Call for Code העולמית לשנת 2020.
 
מפתחים, אנשי תוכנה וחומרה – אנו מזמינים אתכם לרתום את כישוריכם ולסייע במאבק ב-Covid-19 ובמאבק בשינוי האקלים, באמצעות שימוש בטכנולוגיות מבוססות קוד פתוח לרבות IBM, Watson, IBM Cloudו-Red Hat OpenShift.
 
התחרות,שמעודדת פיתוח יישומים טכנולוגיים מעשיים, נערכת זו השנה השלישית ברציפות והפרס למקום הראשון עומד על 200 אלף דולר.יותר מ-180 אלף מפתחים השתתפו בתחרות אשתקד ויצרו מעל 5,000 יישומים המתמקדים במוכנות לאסונות טבע וסיוע למדינות שנפגעו מהן.

טל נאמן, Developer Advocate ב-IBM ישראל, יציג את ה-Starter Kits - מגוון טכנולוגיות שיכולות לעזור לכם לבנות פתרון יצירתי ובמהרה, למשל Chatbot שיתן מענה לשאלות, אפליקציה לסביבה חינוכית מקוונת ואפליקציות סלולר המאפשרות שיתוף פעולה מבוסס קהילה בשעת משבר. כמו כן, נדבר על השימוש בכלי Open Source הקיימים לטובת הפתרון.
