Calligraphy Workshop

In this 2 hour Calligraphy workshop, firstly, we will practice using the Calligraphy felt pens. With these pens, we will then learn the 'Foundational hand' script. Once you have practiced the script we will use the letters in a more creative way! ....or 'Abstract Calligraphy ' as i like to call it! At the end of the workshop, you will go home with your practice sheets (to practice at home) and confidence in using a Calligraphy pen.

Artist Bio:

I'm a Calligrapher and paper artist using words and languages to express myself(whether legible or not!!!). Ever since I was taught Calligraphy, all of my art,(whatever material I'm working with), has incorporated lettering in some form...abstract or traditional. I currently work from my studio (or paper jungle as I like to call it!!) combining Calligraphy with paper sculptures... words expressed in a new way!

There's an optional donation to go towards the running costs of the classes - this stops people booking up all the free tickets then not showing up! Eventbrite requires £1 to be entered in the box but we can refund that in cash when you attend the class, or you can put it towards a cup of tea from the kitchen ☕
