CALLITOUT 2018

Pride in Football

A free programme, (with brunch and lunch) of speakers, workshops , culture and leisure strands for LGBT+ football fans, campaigners, club & league staff and other stakeholders, CALLITOUT 2018 will be held at the City Ground on Saturday 9th June with additional elements around Nottingham on Friday 8th and Sunday 10th.
 
Saturday’s line-up features: 
Out gay referee Ryan Atkin;                                                                                                                                       Forest dynast Helena Doughty;                                                                                                                Commonwealth Games 2018 silver medallist, inclusion activist and Nottingham Forest fan Siobhán Prior;              Trans activist Sam Feeney;                                                                                                                                     Marching Out Together member and corporate social responsibility advisor Tim Purcell;                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Journalist Kevin Beirne (Football London, JOE.co.uk, FT Mag);                                                                               Facilitator for the day - Jon Holmes of Sky Sports Digital.                                                                                          Freelance photographer/writer Nancy Frostick will be collecting photos, video and words for the event report.
Workshops and panels will examine the need for broadcasting standards on LGBT-phobia, address the lack of inclusion and human rights guarantees from international competition hosts until 2024, review development of LGBT+ fan groups individually and as a movement and consider the prospect of an elite male player coming out.  The programme finale will be a screening of the Brighton Kop with Director Q&A with drinks available from the bar and the day will include a tour of the iconic Forest stadium.
 
Additional elements:
On the Friday 8th June, we have a Mayoral Drinks reception at Council House from 7pm followed by a film viewing of Just Charlie at 9pm in Broadway for a reduced price of £5 (pay on door).
After the conference on Saturday 9th June, we return to Broadway for a film viewing of Mario at 7.30pm.
On Sunday 10th June, Pride in Football will be holding their AGM at Meadow Lane from 11am. A breakfast roll and light refreshments will be provided.
