Welcome to Hasu Innate Wellbeing
Where wellbeing begins within.
I’m Stef, the founder. I’m passionate about helping busy individuals reclaim balance and find their Zen—through calmer minds, grounded bodies, and living happier, fuller lives.
A former corporate executive, and a long-standing Qi Gong and Yoga practitioner, I am also an IMTA-accredited Zen meditation and mindfulness teacher, part of the Zenways teacher community, and a student of Zen Master Daizan Skinner.
Mindfulness in all its forms—meditation, movement, and everyday awareness—has played a huge role in my own wellbeing journey. Today, I help others, both in and outside the workplace, find their Zen by sharing what I’ve learned over two decades of personal and professional experience. Along the way, I’ve overcome my own challenges and learned how to live more slowly, authentically, and sustainably amidst the pressures of modern life.
I’m passionate about nature, the outdoors, and remain a keen—if slightly less bouncy—equestrian. I live in Derbyshire with my two children, our cat, and two hens. When not connecting with others, you’ll find me reading, walking the beautiful local countryside, travelling for professional training, retreats, or exploring the world with my kids. Being 100% Italian, preparing slow, wholesome food for family and friends is one of my favourite ways to share love.
Hasu Innate Wellbeing is anchored in three core principles:
Wellbeing comes from within — it is accessible to all, regardless of circumstances.
Mind and body are interconnected — and we can learn to help them work in alignment.
Change is possible for everyone — it develops through awareness, conscious choices, and consistent practice.
Hasu (蓮 or はす) is the Japanese word for the lotus flower, a powerful symbol of resilience and enlightenment. Rising unstained from muddy waters, it represents our innate ability to overcome adversity. Through Zen Meditation and Mindfulness, we can reconnect mind and body, cultivate awareness, and make new choices to build healthier habits.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, low, worried, or stuck, you are not alone—and you can benefit from this work. This journey is accessible to anyone; all it takes is curiosity, an open mind, and practice.
Follow us for the latest programmes and join the Hasu family—I would love to practise with you.
