Cambo Sands Beach Clean

Cambo Sands Beach Clean

Kingsbarns Beach Car ParkSt Andrews, Fife
Sunday, Feb 15 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm GMT
Overview

Join us for a stroll along Cambo Sands, collecting marine waste and litter along the way.

Join us for an easy stroll and beach clean at Cambo Sands, Kingsbarns from 3pm on Sunday 15 February. Meeting at the beach car park, you'll meet our team, get a little introduction to Lutra Grampia and what we do and we'll then head off to gather in any marine waste and litter we find over the next hour and a half, finishing up back in the car park. We'll aim to finish around 4.30pm however you're more than welcome to head off at any time. All equipment will be provided accompanied children and dogs are welcome.

North East Fife is a great area for otters, and doing our little bit to clean up the beach and surrounding area is just one way of lessening some of the risks they and other wildlife face across our coastlines, while lessening unwanted items ending up in the sea. We can't promise great weather but we'll be out, active and doing something positive for our environment and local area. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

If you're in the area beforehand, or wish to stay on after, Cambo Snowdrop Festival is very much underway over at Cambo Estate and Gardens, and later in the evening - starting at 6pm - Scottish folk artist Beth Malcolm will be performing live at Cambo House, with tickets available here. Both are not to be missed!

About Us: Lutra Grampia is a small organisation supporting Scottish otter conservation through practical action, education, advocacy, guided walks and workshops and ecological research. All of our activities aim to contribute back to the communities and areas they're delivered in and event prices include a donation to another conservation group or project working to benefit otters or their habitats in the local area. You can find out more from our website: lutragrampia.org, or from visiting our Facebook and Instagram pages, both @lutragrampia.
