Event description
The next Labour government: Can radical economics and communitarian values reunite and rebuild Britain? Join the Fabian Society at LPC19.

About this Event

Labour has not won a general election for 14 years and to secure victory next time the party must appeal to different sorts of voters. For more than a decade Labour has been losing working-class support while gaining educated, professional voters. Now their support may be under threat as well, with the rise of the Liberal Democrats and Greens.

To build an election-winning base of support Labour needs to secure strong backing from all these groups - by simultaneously rebuilding old loyalties and retaining newer voters whose long-term support is now in question.

Considering this, can we expect the offer of radical economic change combined with communitarian values to garner enough support to get Labour into government? And, if so, will these principles be enough to rebuild Britain?

Confirmed speakers include:

Stephen Kinnock MP
