Join us for a day of family fun down in Alperton and help transform your local canal, making it safer, vibrant and more enjoyable for all.

Your Canal and Your Community

We know how great it is to have the stretch of canal in your back garden that gives us a peaceful route for walking, jogging and enjoying time alone or with others. But, we all know it could be better, right?

Round up your friends and family and join us for the ‘Canal Creation Day’ as we offer a range of exciting activities to bring the community together whilst creating art and other materials to beautify the Alperton Canal. Parents looking for something to do with the children during the school holidays… this is for you!

What to expect on the day:

· FREE Urban Dance classes

· FREE Henna Art for all ages

· FREE Arts and Crafts activities

· FREE Bracelet making

· FREE Caribbean Lunch

· Many other FREE family activities

You will also have the option to participate in a guided Walk / Run / Jog along the canal. This will have a meet time of 10am and setting off at 10:30am. Participants will then continue to the Grand Union Community Hub in Alperton for the rest of the event. So pack your running shoes and we will see you there.

This event is open to all, regardless of whether you are a resident of Alperton or not. As long as you are ready to contribute some artistic creations to help us beautify the canal environment, we are excited for you to join us!
