Candide, the legendary progressive punk trio, returns to celebrate the launch of the first single from their sophomore EP.
‘Break Into My House’, coming May 9th, is a sonic home invasion, where deranged saxophony and garage-guitar fireworks collide with waterboard lyricism, disturbed spoken word, and monolithic synths to barrage the eardrums into submission. These are the melodies of a boy band exploding at Chornobyl; the new history, a car-crashing, ear-shattering cacophony for the modern world, a melodrama you just can’t quite get out of your head …
The release of ‘Break into my House’ will be celebrated with a party and live performance at MAP Studio Cafe, Kentish Town, on May 9th, with support from Parlay.

Candide erupts as a kind of theatrical fever dream: a shambolic yet exacting northern soul dancer, the mighty boosh of rock. Garage-guitar fireworks collide with Baroque-esque melodrama; these are the melodies of a boy band exploding at Chornobyl; a sneering punk tantrum dissolves into a strange, tender confessional.
In short, Candide is one of the capital’s most theatrical and original new bands, fusing a rich visual and sonic world with electric stagecraft, making them the perfect act to cut through and wake up the room (or field).
About Parlay
Parlay are a group of friends who met working at a music venue. They're also a rock band with a massive capacity for creating catchy songs that keep with you. After a couple years of coming into their own around the London rock scene with sell-out shows at venues including the George Tavern, Sebright Arms, Old Blue Last, and the Social (not to an unforgettable residency at the Troubadour London), Parlay are on the move. They've now released two EPs, played shows in Europe, and are touring around the UK.
