A  workshop led by Tim Neath, to create the imaginary world of a recycled city out of cardboard!

Fearon Hall

Led by Tim Neath, the two-hour workshop will focus on play and imagination, providing individuals, friends and families an opportunity to manifest recycled cardboard creations into the imaginary world of a recycled city, based on Loughborough!From this, a large collaborative cardboard 'Lough-Topia' will be created featuring the outcomes of all who participated in the workshop.The workshop will run over the course of two hours and is being held in the Ballroom space at <a href="https://fearonhall.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fearon Hall</a>. Please note this space is not wheelchair accessible.Materials will be provided for the workshop, but please feel free to bring your own collected materials. This can include: - Cardboard packaging of any kind- Tubes- Empty Toilet Rolls/Egg Boxes- Textured Packaging/MaterialsThis event will run in compliance with current COVID government guidelines and restrictions:- Masks should be worn in the space at all times unless exempt. - Groups of no more than 6 are welcome to book a ticket. - If you are showing any of the following symptoms; a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to your sense of smell and taste, please cancel your ticket and do not attend this event. ABOUT THE ARTIST: <a href="https://timneath.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tim Neath</a> is a Leicester based visual artist, who's practice centres around the notion of the handmade and lo-fi aesthetic. Working mainly with cardboard and craft materials, Tim produce's model miniatures to use within his photography and create stop-motion recreations of Western Hollywood films.ABOUT EARTHLING:Earthling is the 2021 member's group exhibition by <a href="https://modernpaintersnewdecorators.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Modern Painters, New Decorators</a>, surrounding the theme of world-building; the process of imagining new fictional worlds. The exhibition features painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, textile, and installation.Taking place between June and July at our gallery space in <a href="https://www.carilloncourt.co.uk/contact/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Carillon Court Shopping Centre,</a> the exhibition is open to the public.
