A specialist course for coaches who would like to develop their career coaching skills

26 February 2026: 9.30am - 4.30pm27 February 2026: 9.30am - 4.30pm The training is held on Zoom and will be a mix of theory and practise, you must be available to attend both days. It is an interactive programme and requires the use of camera and headset. <h3>Course Description</h3>There are few things more valuable to an organisation than an effective career coach. BSC recognise the importance of this and have developed this specialist CPD course for coaches in, or wishing to move into this role or for individuals who would like to provide career coaching on a freelance basis.This is an ILM Recognised programme that aims to use executive career coaching skills in the context of career issues. Learners will build on their skills and techniques to provide effective career coaching and counselling.This is a very practical, skills based programme that is underpinned by knowledge and understanding. This is a unique opportunity to gain recognition through ILM Recognised certification.Prior to the programme you will have a 1-1 meeting with the tutor to identify your learning priorities. You will also be given access to a range of career tools and techniques that can be used in career coaching and try them out.This programme is for practising coaches. <h3>Assignment &amp; ILM Certificate</h3>Following the workshops, you are invited to complete a short assignment with the option between a theory or practical based piece. She has been instrumental in the development of HR strategy, organisational development, leadership development, talent management and the delivery of training and education, nationally and internationally.She is an executive coach and has specialised as a career coach with a wide range of clients in the public and private sector. Shelagh has operated at board level having been a member of Skills for Justice, and is a member of the CIPD membership and CPD committee.
