Welcome to Lightpool Festival 2025We’re so excited to have you join us for the 2025 edition of Lightpool Festival. Over the next 18 nights, you’ll get to see our town’s most iconic landmarks sparkling with an amazing display of light installations, created by talented artists from all around the world.This year’s festival has something for everyone! Enjoy 18 nights of excitement filled with stunning light art, captivating live performances, fun activities for the whole family, and incredible 3D projection shows. With an extraordinary collection of national and international light installations, and the debut of over 12 brand new artworks, this year’s event promises to be the most visually stunning Lightpool Festival yet!Get ready to be enchanted as Carnival Magic returns to the Tower Ballroom, bringing a lively display of illuminated Carnival characters and enchanting music. Experience a thrilling mix of music, puppetry, fire and dance that will ignite your imagination as the amazing Global Grooves International Carnival performers light up the world-famous Tower Ballroom dance floor.

Blackpool Tower Ballroom

An exhilarating menagerie of illuminated Carnival will return to the Tower Ballroom for an electrifying static showcase of music, puppetry and dance. Internationally recognised Carnival performers will present a showstopper over 40 minutes, bringing a diverse melting pot of Carnival magic.From giant hand-crafted puppets to stunning illuminated dancers, there will be something for all the family.LARGER THAN LIFE PUPPETSMeet Jack Frost and his larger than life friends as they take to the stage and say hello. You never know if you are lucky you might just be able to bag yourself a selfie with your new giant friends.FIRE BREATHING BEASTSGasp and wonder at their fiery release. This show features striking puppets and exciting pyrotechnics, mixed with a hypnotic performance. With sweeping wings and scorched metal, Toni the Fire Bat is a visitor from an ancient, magical past, awoken from the fiery belly of the Earth to fight Bessemer, the Fire-Breathing Dragon.CARNIVAL MAGICOur carnival performers and stilt walking musicians will spring to life and fill the stage with beautiful dancers in giant illuminated dresses, accompanied by red-hot carnival drummers.THE GRAND FINALEThe show will crescendo with a full cast presentation of all puppets and performers, encouraging audiences to take to the dance floor and boogie to our Global Grooves with friends old and new.
