Cast a Silver Shell Pendant - Cuttlefish Casting Workshop

Have fun pressing a shell into cuttlefish bone to make a mold before casting it in recycled silver and creating a unique shell pendant!

A fun and immersive 3 hour morning workshop designed for beginners. You will get to experiment with pressing a small three dimensional object (we suggest a shell or ammonite) into the medium of cuttlefish bone to create a mold, to then be guided through the casting process using recycled silver scrap.

Leave with a handmade silver shell pendant that you’ve made using this age old sustainable technique!

Why not book onto both classes, stay for the day and try both techniques of pressing an object (a small shell) in the morning and carving the bone in the afternoon. Leave with two pieces and receive £20 off your silver material bill at the end of the day!

Each class will be kept to a maximum of 4 people aged 16 years and over.

Silver material will be charged extra by the gram at the end unless you want to bring your own hallmarked silver scrap to melt.
