CCCU Iftar Gathering 2026
Overview

Join us this Ramadan for a warm, joyful and inclusive Iftar Gathering at Canterbury Christ Church University!

We would love you to join us at Canterbury Christ Church University for a relaxed, welcoming, and joyful Iftar Gathering at Augustine House. This annual event is all about coming together as a community – to share food, stories and a moment of pause in a busy term.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are observing Ramadan, supporting friends and colleagues, or simply curious to experience the spirit of the month. Feel free to come dressed in your traditional attire and help us celebrate the beautiful diversity of our CCCU community. You’re also very welcome to bring along a dish to share, adding your own flavour to the evening and making it a truly collective celebration.

We also invite you to celebrate your cultures beyond the table. If you would like to share posters showcasing your culture, traditions, or food, we would be very happy to display them during the event. It’s a wonderful way to tell your story, spark conversations, and celebrate the many cultures that come together at CCCU.

Expect good company, meaningful conversations and a relaxed atmosphere as we break the fast together and enjoy a delicious shared meal. It’s a chance to connect and celebrate Ramadan in the most human way possible – together. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please do get in touch – we’d be very happy to hear from you: global.partnerships@canterbury.ac.uk
