Join us as we celebrate the launch of the Coalfield Communities Landscape PartnershipWe will showcase some of our projects and the partnerships we are forging with external organisations to deliver a more collaborative approach to a greener, safer and sustainable future for East Ayrshire's coalfields communities.We have activities across 3 locations: The Roundhouse Café Loch Doon, Dalmellington Community Centre and Doon Valley Railway at Dunaskin.Come and meet our project partners!Lots of activities to discover! Registration required, capacity limitedThe Roundhouse CaféBooking required:- Geocaching walk: from 10.30 am (1 hour walk every 30 minutes)- Nature walk and talk with East Ayrshire Woodlands: 10.45 am and 1.45 pm (departure from the Observatory* and arrival at the Roundhouse Café 1 mile distance, 1h walk)- Ness Glen Ranger led nature walk with East Ayrshire Leisure: 11 am and 2 pm (1h30 walk, 2 miles distance) - Bug Hunt with TCV: 11.15 am, 12.15 pm, 1.15 pm, 2.15 pm - History and Nature walk with EADHA: 11.30 am and 1.30pm (45 minutes walk)*The coach will stop at the Craigengillan road junction for the walk with East Ayrshire WoodlandsOther activities:- Seedball making with CEI- Children games and activities with ZONE- Stone activity with Biosphere- Talks and CPR demonstration with Fire ServiceDalmellington Community CentreBooking required:- Butter making with Cumnock History Group: 11 am, 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm- Film premiere with Cumnock Tryst: 12 pm and 2 pm -Climbing Wall (20 minutes sessions): from 10.30 am (every 30 minutes)- Security bike marking with Active Travel Hub: drop-in from 10.30 am to 2 pm (15 minutes per bike)Other activities:-Bouncy castle (10 minutes sessions)-Information with Biosphere-Information with the Place Names project-Interviews, memory boards and memory booth with the Lost Villages projectDoon Valley Railway, Dunaskin- Train rides: from 11 am, every 30 minutesTransport: Free coach service from Dunaskin and Dalmellington Community CentreWe advise everyone not to drive to loch DoonCar parks at designated sites at Dunaskin Dalmellington Community centre (no parking available at the Roundhouse Café) Track and Trace system in place across the sitesWe encourage you to use lateral flow tests prior to attending the eventPlan your day out in advance and book now!We look forward to meeting you there!
