A symposium to celebrate 20 years of CDK with talks, hackathons and scientific discussions on open cheminformatics.

<p>This meeting is dedicated to the development of open software in cheminformatics. While the occasion is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Chemistry Development Kit (CDK), the workshop is thematically open to applications of the CDK as well as other toolkits and software packages. </p><h1>About this event</h1><p>The Chemistry Development Kit (CDK) has first been released in the year 2000 and has since seen 20 years of amazing development.</p><p>We will therefore gather colleagues from open source projects in cheminformatics at Schloss Korb, beautifully located in the Tyrolean mountains close to Bolzano. We will start on Monday evening, which gives you time to travel to Schloss Korb (https://www.schloss-hotel-korb.com/) at the start of the week. The symposium will end with breakfast on Friday morning. We will fill the remaining time with talks, hackathons, discussions, hiking and fun. </p><h1>Details of the workshop</h1><p>The scientific program will take place over three days and will start at 9.00 on Tuesday  and end at ca. 18.30 on Thursday. You should plan to arrive on Monday before 19:00 (there is a reception :)) and depart on Friday morning after breakfast. The workshop, lunches and dinners will take place at Hotel Schloss Korb. The language of the workshop is English.</p><h1>Registration and Accommodation</h1><p>Hotel Schloss Korb is holding 30 rooms for us until late January, but you still have to book the rooms yourself:</p><p>Please book your accommodation directly with the hotel (https://www.schloss-hotel-korb.com/). Please mention the CDK 20y event when you book. </p><p>Participants are responsible for settling their meeting package bills directly with the hotel on departure. The meeting package (€780 for a double room with single occupancy and 860€ for a suite with single occupancy) at the hotel covers from reception and dinner on Monday to breakfast on  Friday and includes meeting facilities, all coffee breaks as well as the social events. Extras, such as extra drinks, telephone etc. are not included in the price. There is also a nominal but mandatory registration fee (€50) through this Eventbrite page. Registration for the event is open until 20/01/2022 or until 30 registrations have been registered, whatever comes first.  Please make sure to book the Eventbrite  ticket and the hotel room at the same time. This Eventbrite ticket does not guarantee you a hotel reserveration  but of course you will be refunded if the hotel is booked out. </p><h1>Travel</h1><h2>Arrival by bus</h2><p>Flixbus takes you to Bolzano at a reasonable price. Südtirolbus chauffeurs you from the airports Munich, Innsbruck, Verona, Bergamo, Milan Malpensa to the holiday region South Tyrol.</p><h2>Arrival by train</h2><p>Travel to the train station Bozen/Bolzano. Take a taxi to the hotel.</p><h2>Arrival by plane</h2><p>The nearest airports are Bolzano, Innsbruck, Verona, Bergamo, Milan, Venice, Treviso and Munich.</p><p>We will aim to help participants organise transportation from the nearest airport or train stations to the hotel by providing a message board for taxi sharing.</p><h1>Social Programme</h1><p>Monday, 19.00  Informal reception before dinner.</p><p>Wednesday, 14.30  Excursion by foot to Castle Hoch Eppan, with an afternoon 17.30 snack provided at Castle.
