Course Outline;

To define hypoglycaemia in the context of diabetes, identify who is at risk, and how to manage hypoglycaemia events when they occur. Further, to discuss medication management of diabetes in the context of hypoglycaemia, and why this is important for longer term outcomes


- To define a hypoglycaemia episode, and then how to recognise them in practice


- To understand who is at risk of hypoglycaemia


- To demonstrate how to treat hypoglycaemia


- Define how to reduce the risks through education, information, and medication management


- To understand the consequences of repeated hypoglycaemia events

THIS TRAINING IS FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY FOR CPD WHITHIN CHESHIRE & MERSEYSIDE PRIMARY CARE TEAMS ONLY.

You will be required to give details of your NMC number and Practice/PCN name.


The following Primary Care staff are eligible for CPD funding: All registered Nurses , Midwives , Art Therapists , Drama therapists , Music therapists , Chiropodists/podiatrists , Dietitians, Occupational therapists , Operating Department Practitioners , Orthoptists , Osteopaths , Paramedics , Physiotherapists , Prosthetists and Orthotists, Radiographers , Speech and language therapists.

Will be free to book and attend but the cost of £45 will be taken out of your £333 CPD Allowance for this year. Charges for inappropriate roles will apply.
