Date: 14th May 2024

Venue: Birmingham City University’s City South Campus (Westbourne Rd, B15 3TN)

Registration from 9am

Start 9.30am – Finish 3.30pm

Theme –

In our own words: ODP now and in the future

Through our theme we will celebrate ODPs in Practice and Education

Calling all theatre practitioners! You are invited to our City South Campus to celebrate ODP day with us, shining a light on our profession, discussing our experiences and where we see our future as the hidden heroes of healthcare.

The day is a CPD activity, but we are aiming for the conference to be interactive, inspiring, motivational, and informal. Through a series of talks, poster presentations and roundtables, you will have the opportunity to get involved with discussions, have your voice heard, network and plan your career progression.

This event is for all theatre practitioners, whether student or qualified, who wish to develop their knowledge, explore opportunities and meet new people in their field of practice. The day will support your CPD with developmental opportunities as well as exploring the world of simulation and its importance in operating department practice.

This is an opportunity to learn from each other and build a strong community, showcasing our achievements in a range of areas from practice development to clinical skills.

We are encouraging all theatre practitioners to get involved to showcase their achievements in practice development, career progression, supervision and mentorship, leadership, research, education and simulation. Whether a student ODP or an experienced practitioner, everyone is welcome to share their knowledge and experience as we celebrate the emergence and evolution of our profession.
