It’s our first birthday - and you’re all invited!

Having opened our Community Kitchen on Central Way a whole year ago, we wanted to do something exciting to mark the occasion and say thank you to our community. And is there anything better than a summer street party?!


Come celebrate with us all day on June 29th and enjoy an amazing atmosphere with live DJs, delicious food and drinks, fun party games, and more! The party will run from 9-5pm so you’re welcome to drop in whenever you like - we'd love to see as many of you there as possible. Tickets are pay as you feel. We can't think of any way we'd rather spend a sunny Saturday in June!

At our Street Party, you can expect:

  • Live music
  • Delicious food from our Community Kitchen menu
  • Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Street party games and activities for all ages
  • A range of incredible local traders

Our provisional plan for the day includes:

  • Free toasties for the first hour to kick things off! (9am-10am - ticketed)
  • Cake decorating for kids (10:30-11:30am - ticketed)
  • Live DJ (12-2pm)
  • Lunch Deal - £10 for any main and drink (available for the first 25 sign ups)
  • Community Cooking Demo - watch one of our Community Chefs whip up one of our favourite dishes with tasters after! (2:30-3:30pm - ticketed)
  • Live music/DJ (4-5pm)

Plus, of course, our friends on Central Way (Lovingly Artisan, Ruben's Mezze and Grill, Federal, and more!) will all be joining the party with exciting offers and activities to bring the street to life!

Bounceback Food CIC

Bounceback Food CIC is a social enterprise fighting food poverty on multiple fronts. Our Community Cookery School teams teach people how to cook, run food bank drives at market events, help people get jobs in the food sector and coordinate community meal drives that provide emergency meals for our beneficiaries.

Since 2014 we have taught 5,000+ people how to cook, including stroke survivors, young carers, food bank beneficiaries and elderly people living in sheltered accommodation. We have also secured 15,000+ donations to food banks and generated over 150,000 meals for people in need via our catering, community meal drives and cookery workshops.

We run a variety of public cookery workshops, cookalongs and fundraising events throughout the year - hopefully see you soon!
