Ceramic painting workshop

Heal's has been designing, making and selling quality furniture for more than two centuries now, so it's no surprise that we're known as 'the home of modern and contemporarydesigner furniture'. Starting out as a mattress-makers in 1810, and later embracing the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement, Heal's has a long history of collaborating with prominent designers. We're as passionate today as we've always been about introducing new ranges, discovering stars of the future and pushing the boundaries of outstandingcontemporary design. Heal's may be 200 years old, but we've no intention of slowing down just yet.

Heal's

Join Japanese artist, Miyu Kurihana, who creates beautiful hand-painted ceramics featuring intricate patterns to learn all you need to know about brush painting. Miyu will teach you how to use the traditional Chinese and Japanese blue and white porcelain brush techniques that you can then use to paint your own ceramic tile in the workshop. 
Miyu will also be doing a drawing demonstration throughout the workshop in order to teach you and inspire your own ceramic tile that you will be able to take home with you. 
All the materials needed will be supplied. If you would like to have your tile glazed and fired there will be an additional charge of £10.
