Unmasking financialization and building alternative imaginaries

This session focuses on the creation and circulation of counter-narratives.It explores how different forms of knowledge and expression can be mobilised not only to challenge dominant representations of the city, but to unmask the underlying mechanisms that sustain them, particularly the idea of inevitability around housing, urban development and financialization.By connecting experiences, practices and perspectives, the session examines how counter-narratives can reveal hidden structures of power and open up space for alternative urban imaginaries to emerge, circulate and take hold.
