Chaplaincy Ceilidh

Chaplaincy Ceilidh

Overview

Ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”) dancing is a lively, social, and inclusive tradition that brings people together through music and movement.

Join us for our Universities Chaplaincy Ceilidh this October.

Ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”) dancing is a lively, social, and inclusive tradition that brings people together through music, movement, and fun. Rooted in Scottish and Irish heritage, ceilidhs feature energetic group dances, all guided by caller and chaplain, Robin Fishwick, who explains the steps - so no prior experience is needed! Captain Bullhead always make it fun!

This event has been organised on a pay-as-you-feel basis so that everyone can join us with no one turned away due to lack of funds but any support for our Captain Bullhead Ceilidh Band is welcomed.

Soft drinks will be provided on the night at no additional cost.

Learn more about what to expect by watching the band at a recent Leeds University Folk Society's Burns Night Ceilidh at Captain Bullhead Ceilidh Band on YouTube
