Chartered PR Practitioner Assessment Day

Founded in 1948, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is the professional body for public relations practitioners in the UK. With over 10,000 members involved in all aspects of public relations, it is the largest body of its type in Europe.The CIPR advances professionalism in public relations by making its members accountable to their employers and the public through a code of conduct and searchable public register, setting standards through training, qualifications and the production of best practice and skills guidance, facilitating Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and awarding Chartered Public Relations Practitioner status (Chart.PR).The CIPR was granted its Royal Charter by the Privy Council in February 2005.

<H2 CLASS="title">Application criteria</H2>
<DIV CLASS="entry">
<P>To be eligible for a new application for Chartered PR Practitioner status, you can take any of the routes below, as long as you satisfy the relevant criteria.</P>
<H3>Experience route</H3>
<P>Full Member or Fellow of the CIPR (MCIPR or FCIPR) and all of the below:</P>
<UL>
<LI>currently registered for CIPR CPD <STRONG>AND</STRONG></LI>
<LI>finished at least 3 consecutive or 5 non-consecutive years of CIPR CPD, including the year immediately before that in which your application in submitted <STRONG>OR</STRONG></LI>
<LI>you have completed the equivalent amount of CPD under a scheme, recognised by the CIPR.</LI>
<LI>successfully completed a Chartership Assessment Day.</LI>
</UL>
<H3>Academic route</H3>
<P>Full Member or Fellow of the CIPR (MCIPR or FCIPR) with CIPR Diploma or Masters Degree (<A HREF="https://www.cipr.co.uk/content/training-qualifications/cipr-recognised-degrees/university-course-list" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">or equivalent course recognised by us</A>) and all of the below:</P>
<UL>
<LI>currently registered for CIPR CPD <STRONG>AND</STRONG></LI>
<LI>finished at least 2 consecutive or 4 non-consecutive years of CIPR CPD, including the year immediately before that in which your application is submitted <STRONG>OR</STRONG></LI>
<LI>you have completed the equivalent amount of CPD under a scheme, recognised by the CIPR.</LI>
<LI>successfully completed a Chartership Assessment Day.</LI>
</UL>
<H3>Overseas route</H3>
<P>If you're a member of another relevant professional body based overseas, e.g. MEPRA, please email <A HREF="mailto:SukhjitG@cipr.co.uk" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sukhjit Grewal</A>. We'll expect you to satisfy the below criteria:</P>
<UL>
<LI>currently registered for CPD with the professional body</LI>
<LI>finished at least 3 consecutive or 5 non-consecutive years of CPD with the professional body, including the year immediately before that in which your application is submitted.</LI>
