Hi name is Simon, i'm the Operations Manager at Martec Training, a father of two daughters and have spent over 25 years in the motor industry in a variety of roles. In April i'm running the London Marathon in April 2026 for a great charity close to my heart in Caudwell Children, as part of this i have been undertaking a range of challenges and hosting a range of events to help me meet me fund raising target of £2750.

During this event i will run through a range of checks you can complete on your own car to help you gain the confidence and skills to check your own car over to keep you and loved ones safe. You will also get the opppotunity to look around Electric Vehicles in a safe environment and ask any questions around cars that you may have, but may not have had the confidence to ask. This event is designed for beginners who may have no experiance and may not even know how to open their bonnet through to more confident owners and drivers and unlike the "Yorkie" adverts cars most definatley arent just for boys!!!
