Chesil Easter Eggcase Hunt
What does a mermaid keep in her purse? Find out as we hunt for empty eggcases along the strandline at Chesil.
Come along for an egg hunt with a twist this Easter! Join a warden for a walk along Chesil searching for empty eggcases washed up on the strandline. We’ll show you how to identify your finds to help with shark and ray conservation in the UK.
The walk will start at 11.30am and will last for approximately 1.5 hours. Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time.
This event is suitable for families, but all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Accompanying adults go free, but are limited to a maximum of two per child.
Sturdy footwear (e.g. walking boots) is recommended as we will be going over some uneven ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions as the site is fairly exposed
There is a large council-owned pay and display car park (Chesil Beach Pay & Display) next to the Wild Chesil Centre. Please note, parking charges are not included in the event ticket cost.
If coming by public transport, the number 1 bus runs regularly between Weymouth and Portland. The closest bus stop is at Ferrybridge. It is then approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the centre.
BOOKING ESSENTIAL.
