Chesterfield CycleHack 2017

Monkey Park is a social enterprise with a community cafe, a cycle workshop & a "community change hub" office co-working space. We are volunteer-led and our mission is to help to develop a new people-led future for our area.

Monkey Park Community Hub

<DIV>CycleHack is a global design event that happens in over 25 towns & cities worldwide.</DIV>
<DIV>The idea is to get together for the weekend to first look at the problems that prevent more people from cycling & then to design innovative solutions to these in teams. Solutions might be stuff like signage, digital technology, maps, new services, modifications to infrastructure etc. One key aspect is that designs should be prototyped & tested with real people during the course of the weekend. </DIV>

<DIV>We're really pleased to welcome CycleHack to Chesterfield on 15th-17th September in the community change hub above Monkey Park on Chester St. There's a cycle workshop there, plenty of desk space, art materials, lego, some computers & lots of digital electronics including a prototype environmental monitoring network.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>All are welcome but we do ask that you try to make as much of the event as possible in order that we can collectively design as many great solutions as possible.</DIV>

<H3>SUN 17TH: </H3>
<P><EM>10:00am - 4:00pm More prototyping & testing prototyped solutions in our town<BR>Showcase: 3:00pm</EM></P>
