Come and sing Vivaldi's Gloria under the tutelage of Matthew Owens, Music Director of the Ulster Consort - rehearse and perform in a day!

A great opportunity to rehearse under outstanding professional direction, sing and perform Vivaldi's magnificent piece, Gloria - all in the space of a day. The distinguished conductor, composer and organist, Matthew Owens, will lead you through the day. Matthew, formerly the organist and Master of the Choristers at Wells Cathedral, is the Musical Director of the Ulster Consort, NI's newest professional vocal ensemble, and conductor of the Belfast City Chorus. As a conductor, he has worked throughout the UK, Europe, USA, Australia, and New Zealand. The guest soloists for the performance are Ali Darragh (soprano) and Jenny Bourke (alto), and the piece will be accompanied by the distinguished pianist and organist, Tristan Russcher. The format for the day is:Arrive 9.30am / 1.15pm lunch / 4.30pm performance (family and friends welcome)There will be breaks with tea, coffee, scones and buns provided!Please bring a packed lunch. Scores will be provided.This event is suitable for both seasoned singers and beginners. Although some experience of reading a score would be an advantage, it is by no means essential.
