Monitor and the NHS TDA are jointly hosting the first development event for FT and NHS trust chief operating officers (COOs), on 9 December in London and repeated on 27 January in Leeds.

Please note that the event on 25 January in Leeds has been moved to 27 January and will now include a session on A&E and winter pressures, led by Jim Mackey.

These dates are the first in a series of events we are seeking to host in 2016. 

Events will start with registration at 9.30am for a 10am start, and will conclude by 4:30pm. 

Please note venue details will be sent to registered delegates one week before the workshop.

Monitor and the TDA recently conducted a survey of chief operating officers to gather your views and identify how we can develop and support you in your role. Following on from this survey, and in direct response to the feedback we received, we are planning these events to enable COOs to network, engage with speakers on some key topics and also feedback to Monitor and the TDA on your priorities for NHS Improvement.

Topics to be covered at the first event include:

• effective change management and embedding change
• career development and progression to CEO
• collective leaderships strategies for improving organisational change
• meeting the challenges of the current strategic and operationawl environment  

This is a free event. Please register as soon as possible as spaces are limited and registration is on a first come first serve basis.
