Is car parking available?

Yes, free parking is available at the venue. To help our local community and environment, we'd encourage you to walk or car share when possible.

What time does the show start?

Doors open at 1:15pm to allow you time to purchase any refreshments and find your seats before the performance starts at 2pm. Please arrive in good time to allow us to run on time.

Question 3

Will there be an interval?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the show lasts for approximately 2 hours including a 20 minute interval when you can stretch your legs, take a comfort break and purchase drinks and snacks from the Club Room.

Can I select my own seats?

Accepted Answer

No, Eventbrite will automatically allocate the best available seats when you book. This system helps us maximize the opportunity for as many people as possible to join us, given our limited seating capacity.

Will I be able to see if I am sitting at the back?

Accepted Answer

All seats are on the same level with the performers on a raised stage. For young children, you might like to bring a small cushion or booster seat from home to make it easier for them to see more comfortably. We’re not able to provide these, so please feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Is there accessible seating?

Yes, we have reserved a limited number of wheelchair accessible seats. To book, please contact panto.crc@outlook.com as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Yes. You can buy popcorn & vanilla ice cream (vegan) before the show and at the interval. Pre-order by 3rd January to ensure you don’t miss out as stock is limited - https://form.jotform.com/252696456976377 (copy and paste into your web browser).

What about something to drink?

On the day, we’ll also be selling hot chocolate, tea, coffee, water and fruit shoots to keep everyone refreshed.
Card payments only - we're unable to accept cash at this event.

What are the ingredients in Jude’s plant-based vanilla ice cream?

Ingredients: water, glucose syrup, sugar, coconut oil, soluble corn fibre, soya protein isolate, dextrose, emulsifier (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), stabilisers (locust bean gum, guar gum), vanilla extract, spent vanilla pods, natural flavouring, colour (carotenes), salt.

What are the ingredients in the Popcorn?

Provided by Popcorn Planet. Ingredients: Wholegrain Corn, Sunflower Oil, Cane Sugar & Sunflower Lecithin. Made in a facility that handles gluten, nuts, peanuts, soya and milk.

Am I allowed to bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you're welcome to bring your own refreshments. However, we do have a lovely selection of snacks and drinks available for purchase to support this community event.

Who are Chaplins Pantos?

Accepted Answer

One of the biggest producers of touring children's pantomimes in the UK they boast the most experienced staff and theatrical directors. All performers are fully DBS checked, ensuring the safety and security of all children attending our event.

What age is the pantomime suitable for?

Accepted Answer

The pantomime is primarily designed for children aged 3-12 years, but older members of our community are very welcome and may well enjoy the show too! It's a great family event for all ages.

Is the performance suitable for children with special educational needs and disabilities?

Accepted Answer

Chaplins have said it is SEND suitable but note: 
●	Moderate noise, loud at times.
●	The performance & audience area are lit, no flashing lights.
●	Audience participation is encouraged (e.g. shouting, booing, cheering). 
●	Performers may appear suddenly.

Can I swap or change my tickets?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can change your tickets from adult to child tickets and vice versa. Please contact us or manage this through your Eventbrite account.

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

We hope you won’t need to cancel but we understand life can be unpredictable so refunds are available up to 10 days before the performance date via Eventbrite's standard refund process.

Why are there booking fees on my tickets?

Accepted Answer

Eventbrite charges processing fees on all ticket sales. As this is a community-run event organized by volunteers, these fees are passed on to ticket holders to help keep our costs manageable.

Question 19

Will the event make a profit and if so what happens to it?

Accepted Answer

Chieveley Recreational Centre is a registered charity (charity number 296892). If the event does create surplus funds over costs then these will be reinvested into the Hall’s facilities. However, making a profit is not the primary purpose of this event.

As the Hall is a Charity, does my ticket qualify for Gift Aid?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, not. A ‘donation’ in return for event tickets, goods or services is not eligible for tax relief under current gift aid rules.
