Where does the workshop take place?

The workshop is at Stitch and Splodge which is located in Stoke Village; 32 Devonport Road, PL3 4DH It's on the same side as the Co-op and just two doors down.

There is a free three hour car park just two minutes walk away. The car park is in Church Street (PL3 4DT). Do remember to register your car, there's no ticket to display. In addition there is plenty of on-street, unrestricted parking in nearby streets.

Are refunds available?

If you cancel your booking 7 days or more in advance of the event, a refund will be provided.

Does my child need to bring anything with them?

Not at all, I provide everything they need for the workshop.

What's included in the cost?

The tuition from Louise and a kit for your child to take away with them and continue with their crochet project.

Do I need to stay with my child?

That's entirely your choice, I'll have plenty of seats if you wish to stay but equally, I'm happy for you to leave.

Is there an age suitability?

I'm really not worried about ages, I've come across really young children that have got hooked on crochet, so I don't want to set any limits. As long as your child is happy to chat with children of all ages that's all that matters!

🧶 Children's Learn to Crochet Workshop in Stoke Village 🧶

Looking for a fun and creative activity for your child this February half term? Our learn to crochet workshop for children is the perfect introduction to a calming, confidence-boosting craft they can enjoy for years to come.

Led by experienced teacher Louise, this hands-on session is designed especially for beginners. Children will learn how to hold a hook, work with different yarns, and master basic stitches like slip stitch, chain, and double crochet—all at their own pace, with step-by-step guidance and plenty of encouragement.

🎒 Every child will take home their very own crochet kit, complete with yarn, hook, darning needle, stitch marker, a simple pattern, and the project they started in the workshop.

👫 With a maximum of 6 participants, your child will enjoy lots of personal attention while also making friends and sharing their creative journey with other young crafters.

Crochet helps children develop fine motor skills, focus, creativity, and patience—all while having fun and creating something they can be proud of.

The workshop takes place in our own premises in Stoke Village. Adults are welcome to sit and have a cup of tea or visit a nearby in the cafe with a coffee or take a wander around the local area.
