About this event
We are so excited to have our lovely guest presenter for this session!! Plus, it means we get to make a bookmark too :D Shannon has been weaving for some time now, and has gladly joined us to show you how to weave a bookmark with just the things you have at home!
From setting up your own homemade loom to finishing it off, Shannon will guide you step-by-step through the making process.
You will need the following for this session:
- Medium thickness card
- Scissors
- A needle with a large eye (like an embroidery needle)
- Some tape
- Some thin non-stretch string/wool, 1-1.5mm diameter for the loom
- A selection of wool/string to weave with - not too thick!
- A ruler
- A fork.
This is a fun, relaxed session, where the children can work at their own pace. Although we have suggested an hour and a half, Shannon and Debbie are available for as long as we are needed for each child.
Debbie is qualified teacher with full DBS.Shannon is also fully DBS checked.
