You're Invited: The Rededication of the Cathedral Organ Sunday 21 September 2025 | 3:30 PM | Bristol Cathedral
After a remarkable 19-month restoration, we are delighted to invite you to a very special occasion at Bristol Cathedral: the rededication of our magnificent Cathedral organ.
This significant moment in the life of the Cathedral will be marked by a beautiful Choral Evensong, where the organ will be ceremonially ‘re-awakened’ — inspired by the powerful service held at Notre Dame de Paris last December. The music will be led by the combined Cathedral Choir and Cathedral Consort, offering a rich and moving soundscape in celebration of the instrument’s return.
The service will be led by the Acting Bishop of Bristol, and a reception will follow, giving you the opportunity to gather with others and celebrate this historic milestone.
Join us for an afternoon of stunning music, tradition, and joyful reunion.
🔔 Procession and Robing: Members of the College of Canons (Residentiary, Honorary, and Ecumenical) and Chapter are warmly invited to robe and process. Civic guests are welcome to wear appropriate ceremonial dress.
To assist with planning, we kindly ask guests to register their attendance via Eventbrite.
📅 Registration Deadline: Please respond by 14 September 2025.
We look forward to welcoming you.
