DR Hovingham Productions present a night of live music from two fabulous choirs!

Choral Joy!

DR Hovingham Productions present a night of fabulous music from not one, but two choirs!

The Harmonettes are five ladies, Amanda, Jenny, Judi, Lynn, and Ruth, who met as members of the Harmonia Ladies Choir of Malton, and formed as an ensemble in 2017, primarily to take part in the Eskdale National Choir Festival in Whitby. Since then, they have expanded their repertoire. Their music style is eclectic to say the least, from show songs, to gospel, folk, sacred and pop. Most of their songs are a cappella but occasionally with some guitar accompaniment and piano backing, played by Jenny.

Sound Fellows are a small ensemble made up of friends who met while singing with York Philharmonic MVC. They have since performed at various festivals around Yorkshire and in joint concerts with the York Phil, the Ryedale Voices, Harmonia and Harrogate MVC. They continue to meet up on an ad hoc basis: to sing, drink beer and put the world to rights.
