Christmas Biscuits & Icing

The Dusty Knuckle is one of London's leading sourdough bakeries, providing freshly baked bread and pastries to some of the city's best restaurants, cafes and shops. Opened in 2014 in an empty shipping container, the bakery has now moved into a permanent space with a buzzing cafe offering world-class sandwiches. The bakery also works with disadvantaged youth by providing training in the bakery with the aim of offering legitimate employment opportunities. The bakery school opened in February 2019 in the container units, and teaches a range of bread, pastry, cooking and fermentation classes. Our classes are taught by highly experienced bakers with a passion for the classroom.

The Dusty Knuckle Bakery School

Merry Christmas everyone! To celebrate the festive season we are holding three special biscuit workshops where you will learn how to beautifully decorate spiced biscuits using royal icing, piping and flood icing - techniques that will enhance your baking no end. 
Taught by David, 2017 Baking Industry Awards 'Best Baker', this baking class also teaches students how to make, roll, cut and bake biscuit dough before working on their piping skills. For your creations, think Christmas trees, presents, candy canes and other shapes, perfect for eating in front of the fire or hanging on the tree (or most likely inhaling them all on the train home - they're that delicious).
Students will leave with a box of biscuits to enjoy over Christmas, each iced beautifully. Dinner and drinks (mulled wine) will be included, plus a giveaway totebag. Please contact bakeryschool@thedustyknuckle.com with any questions and let us know well in advance of any dietary requirements. We ask that students arrive 15 minutes early.
