CHS x Aiimeerosee: Explore The Witcher Caves


Join May (@aiimeerosee) for a magical bucket list stop in the Lake District visiting a famous filming spot for Netflix's The Witcher, Rydal Caves. Heading from the village of Ambleside - the walk will follow a coffin route around Rydal water taking in the beautiful views the Lake District have to offer. After a short picnic stop by the water, heading inside Rydal Caves to walk the famous stepping stones. After the hike, the group will head into Ambleside village to a local pub for games and visit some of the best outdoor shops the village has to offer.

Packing list


  • Picnic blanket (or something to sit on!)
  • Snacks (Bring along your favourite picnic treat and drink)
  • Make sure to pack a warm layer in case it’s chilly.
  • Optionally bring along some outdoor games for the picnic!

Can I come with my children?

Unfortunately, this event is reserved for adults only. However, we are considering organizing hikes specifically aimed at young audiences in the future. We encourage you to stay informed about upcoming activities.

There are no more tickets available. Can I still come with a friend?

We must adhere to the established capacity limits for supervision and safety reasons. Therefore, we cannot accommodate additional people once all tickets have been distributed. However, your friend can sign up for the waiting list.

What happens in case of bad weather?

At Columbia, we believe that "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing." We recommend waterproof clothing for our hikes. However, in case of extreme weather conditions, we may have to cancel or postpone the event. We will keep you informed via email.

Do I need special equipment to participate in the hike?

Although we recommend comfortable hiking shoes and appropriate weather gear, no special equipment is required to participate. However, we encourage you to check the suggested equipment list provided in the event description.

Can I cancel my participation after registering?

Yes, you can withdraw from participating in the hike after registering. However, we encourage you to inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to participate so that we can offer your spot to someone else on the waiting list.

How do I get to the event and what about parking?

The meeting point has been chosen to allow participants to park easily. However, whenever possible, we recommend using public transportation or carpooling if you are coming with others.
