Got a great idea for building some software but don’t know how to code?

There’s an app for that - or at least there might be just the right programming platform that is user friendly and allows non-techies to build amazing software applications. You don’t need any previous coding experience to use a no-code framework, but you do need to know where to start and what they can do.

This interactive CI Studio will provide an overview of the ideas behind no-code, and help you to get started on your journey to building that innovative MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or creative project! With short presentations and plenty of time for questions and discussion, this studio event will cover the following topics:

- What is no-code?

- Use Cases and Case studies

- Core concepts

- Picking the right stack of tools for general learning/MVP's

- The best resources for learning etc.

This CI Studio will be hosted by Max Haining, Oliver Littlejohn and Frances Odera Matthews.

Max Haining is a social entrepreneur and community builder who helps non-techies and creators build websites, apps and software without code. He runs the 100DaysOfNoCode (https://www.100daysofnocode.com/) community which helps beginners leverage the power of no-code by facilitating connections between like-minded learners and delivering courses and workshops.

Oliver Littlejohn is Head of Partnerships at CodeBase. Since CodeBase's inception, Oli has worked on bringing together the tech community. In his current role he works on a range of programmes (including Creative Bridge) to help upskill startups.

Frances Odera Matthews is founder of The Notion Bar, where she's a certified Notion Consultant, coach and template builder, helping people and small businesses level-up through her services and products. Frances has become a thought leader in the Notion community, giving talks and building a large following based on her unique style, committed to aesthetics, usability and infusion of pop-culture into Notion projects.

About CI Studios

CI Studios are regular, informal events open to anyone working in the creative industries interested in learning more about data-driven technologies. Studios usually take place at E11, our dedicated workshop space at Edinburgh Napier University, and in venues across Edinburgh/South East Scotland throughout the year, providing opportunities for creative practitioners to try working and experimenting with data in a friendly, practical environment. However, due to current social distancing measures, we are running our CI Studios online until further notice.
