The online event will be a 15-20mins mini-presentations panel, bringing together three different research projects.

The online CIMRH workshop promotes a better understanding of how COVID-19 pandemic has affected and impacted the Public Relations industry. Many surveys and reports have brought more knowledge at the level of the industry, highlighting the increasing strategic role of PR during pandemic. However, this strong performance and influence of the PR industry has reinforced and exacerbated structural inequalities. Also, mental health has been identified as the biggest challenge facing the profession.Through three research projects, the workshop speakers will bring different perspectives and nuanced conversations around this topic:<ul><li>Stephen will present ‘The COVID-19 Communications Advisory Panel report’ he authored, providing interested audiences with an across-the-industry outlook.</li></ul><ul><li>Alenka provides our audiences with a more individual-focused lens of how pandemic has been lived by women PR practitioners.</li></ul><ul><li>Raluca and Anca will present their netnographic findings on how communication freelance professionals have been impacted by COVID-19.</li></ul>Chaired by Gareth Thompson, MA PR Course Leader, LCC.Speakers:Dr. Anca Anton, Senior Lecturer in Public Relations, University of Bucharest;Dr. Alenka Jelen, Senior Lecturer and Programme Director of the MSc Strategic Communication and Public Relations, University of StirlingDr. Raluca Moise, Senior Lecturer and Acting Course Leader of BA (Hons) PR CourseStephen Waddington, Visiting Professor in Practice, University of Newcastle; Founder and Manager of Wadds Inc.Disclaimer: Live events will be recorded and made public on LCC YouTube channels afterwards.
