Founded in 1948, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is the professional body for public relations practitioners in the UK. With over 10,000 members involved in all aspects of public relations, it is the largest body of its type in Europe.The CIPR advances professionalism in public relations by making its members accountable to their employers and the public through a code of conduct and searchable public register, setting standards through training, qualifications and the production of best practice and skills guidance, facilitating Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and awarding Chartered Public Relations Practitioner status (Chart.PR).The CIPR was granted its Royal Charter by the Privy Council in February 2005.

Join us for a special event honouring Platinum – the CIPR’s new crowdsourced book showcasing excellence in public relations. Edited by Stephen Waddington Found.Chart.PR, Hon FCIPR, Platinum is the story of the CIPR as told by its members. Join Stephen and the authors in the Sodaroom at The Botanist from 6pm for the drinks reception. The event will also commemorate the CIPR’s 70 at 70 list. CIPR President Sarah Hall Chart.PR, FCIPR will recognise the outstanding contributions of those featured in the list and reflect on the Institute’s progress in 2018.
