CITIZENS: Why the Key to Fixing Everything is All of Us
Event Information
About this event
Come join Jon, Jason, and some of the people doing Citizen work across Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire - including Billy Dasein of East Marsh United, who plays a starring role in Jon's book.
We'll discuss the power we all have to make the places where we live better, and make sure we hear your voice too.
Jon's book CITIZENS charts the recent rise of the ‘Citizen Story’ across politics, business, civil society and in our communities, and explores how it is challenging the fundamental nature and assumptions of our institutions - as well as showing what we can all do to play our part in the transformation. It sold out the first print run within a week, and is starting conversations all over the country.
Jason is a proud son of Grimsby who is now Chair of Grimsby Town Football Club, and is using every opportunity he can to support the people and the pride of the town.
Doors will be open from 6pm for drinks and an opportunity to chat. Jon and Jason will start the conversation around 7pm, opening up to stories and questions from the room by 8. When we finish, there'll be time for more drinks and chat.
You can pre-order your book now via jonalexander.net. The Rabbit Hole Bookshop team will be coming from Brigg with copies on the night.
