Late Lines is our regular performance evening for City Lit writers, featuring a fantastic mix of poetry and prose readings from our talented students. All are welcome!

Late Lines in November 2025 will be hosted by Judith Bryan and feature special guest, author Salma Ibrahim.

The event will include an interval, during which complimentary glasses of wine will be available for attendees.

Please be aware that the evening may include pieces which discuss adult themes and subjects.

Audience members and readers may be photographed for promotional purposes. By attending this event, you consent to have your image used for these purposes.

The event will take place in our ground floor Cultureplex space which is fully accessible. If you have any accessibility requirements or require space for a wheelchair, we would be grateful if you could contact us in advance at writing@citylit.ac.uk to let us know. If you are studying or have recently studied on a City Lit writing course and would like to share your work at Late Lines in June, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact writing@citylit.ac.uk by the end of the day on Sunday 19th October with a copy of the piece/s you'd like to read on the night. Each reading slot is 3-5 minutes maximum.

All genres, styles, forms and levels of experience are very welcome.
