CLASS Bristol Bootcamp 

The Centre for Labour and Social Studies (CLASS) is a leading left think tank working to ensure policy is on the side of everyday people. Originating in the trade union movement, CLASS has an authentic connetion to working people and a unique insight into the challenges society faces. We combine grassroots voices with intellectually compelling analysis to advance an alternative way forward.CLASS works with a coalition of academics, activists and politicians to inspire the Left and cement a broad alliance of social forces to support reform and equip our supporters with the tools to popularise a new agenda.

Given the success of CLASS’s first ever <A HREF="https://vimeo.com/311231007" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="CLASS Bootcamp 2018" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bootcamp in 2018</A>, we are now going on a roadshow – our first stop is Bristol, hosted by Unite the Union.
This is a chance for you to explore how we communicate transformational ideas, giving you the tools to win arguments on public investment, welfare, climate change, immigration and class. Every workshop will involve someone that can talk about the impact of current policy, the key facts and the best way communicate arguments for change.
This interactive day will be led by world-leading academics, activists and Shadow front bench figures including: Kier Starmer, Labour's Shadow Secretary of State for Brexit, the author and columnist Owen Jones, CLASS Director Dr Faiza Shaheen, Molly Scott Cato MEP, Diana Holland an Assistant General Secretary of Unite the Union, Satbir Singh (director) Minnie Rahman from the JCWI, Professor Colin Davis from Extinction Rebellion Bristol, Carys Afoko of Level Up, Laurie Mompelat from the Runnymede Trust, Andy Greene of DPAG and many more. 
We will be discussing the climate breakdown emergency, Brexit, the upcoming European elections and much more.
All the ticket sales go to the running of this event. Of course we want everyone to be able to attend so if you may find it difficult to cover the cost please contact raquel.jesse@classonline.org.uk for a free ticket.
