The evening featuring the Jersey Chamber Orchestra with Sophie singing Schubert and Strauss. Enjoy timeless music for orchestra by Mozart and Grieg, including the beautiful Holberg Suite .

Sophie Bevan MBE – Soprano

Sophie Bevan is recognised as one of the finest sopranos in the world. Her awards include the 2010 Critics’ Circle Exceptional Young Talent Award, The Times Breakthrough Award (2012), Young Singer Award at the International Opera Awards (2013), and she was made an MBE in 2019 for services to music.

She regularly performs with leading orchestras worldwide under renowned conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Daniel Harding, and Sir Mark Elder. Sophie is an acclaimed recitalist, performing with leading pianists at venues including the Concertgebouw, Aldeburgh Festival, Oxford Lieder Festival, and Wigmore Hall.

As an opera singer she has performed globally including at the Royal Opera House, ENO, Glyndebourne, Salzburg Festival, and the Metropolitan Opera.

She lives in Oxfordshire with her husband, three children, and two cocker spaniels.
