Reconstructing the Cosmos with Hesiod Prof. Athanassios Vergados

Lecture by Professor Athanassios Vergados is Professor of Greek at Newcastle University.

This talk discusses Hesiod’s attempt to reconstruct the creation and evolution of the cosmos from its very beginning to the establishment of Zeus’s rule and, in a second step, what is the place of humans in Zeus’s world.
