Clay Cup & Saucer Workshop
Get hands-on with clay in this relaxed, shorter workshop focused on designing and hand-building your own unique cup and saucer.
Clay Cup & Saucer Workshop
Thursday 19th February, 1pm – 3.30pm
Ages 9+ (Adults Welcome)
Get hands-on with clay in this relaxed, shorter workshop focused on designing and hand-building your own unique cup and saucer. Suitable for ages 9 and up, this session is ideal for beginners and curious makers who want to explore ceramics in an enjoyable, supportive studio setting.
Participants will be guided through the basics of hand-building techniques, learning how to shape, join, and refine clay to create a functional and expressive cup and matching saucer. There’s plenty of room for personal style—whether your design is simple and elegant or playful and textured.
Once the pieces are complete, they will be left to dry and then fired in the kiln. After firing, participants are warmly invited to return during open studio time to glaze their work themselves, adding colour and finish to make the pieces truly their own. Alternatively, you can leave glazing instructions and the studio team will glaze the work for you.
When the glazing and final firing are complete, we’ll let you know when your cup and saucer are ready to be collected.
This workshop offers a satisfying introduction to working with clay and the ceramic process—from shaping to finishing!
